Smarter camera setup and improved capture configuration.
IP Camera Discovery
IP cameras on the same network can now be discovered directly inside Camera Manager, removing the need for admins to pre-assign cameras through Trellis. Users can scan the network and assign cameras to vehicle positions such as front-right or back-left. Camera Manager now supports both legacy and new discovery structures.
Camera Screen Redesign
For handheld mode: The shutter speed and ISO configuration screen has been completely rebuilt to provide clearer guidance for setting correct capture levels. The new UI makes manual adjustment simpler, includes a low-light warning, and provides indicative scanning speed estimates in kph or mph.

Settings and UI Overhaul
The Settings experience has been fully reorganized and moved to Profile β Settings (top-right cog icon). Updates include:

- Updated ALPR/ANPR Presets page
VAXTOR Engine Capture Upgrade
Async processing has been implemented to improve multi-plate recognition, accuracy, overview imaging, and reduced partial plate reads.
Metadata Enhancements
Metadata now includes device speed, device shutter speed, device ISO, and device zoom, giving more context for each capture.
Database Performance
General database performance and stability improvements.
Sync and Connectivity
Foreground Auto Sync services have been improved, and no-internet / no-network dialogs have been updated for better clarity.

π₯NEW FEATURES
New controls for privacy, hotlists, zones, and integrations.
Screen Recording Control
A new Prevent Screen Record setting under Settings β General lets admins disable screen recording and screenshots for sensitive deployments, helping protect vehicle and plate data on shared or unmanaged devices.
Hotlist Behaviors and Search Methods
Hotlist behavior can now be tuned to check only plate text, only vehicle characteristics, or both. This is controlled from ALPR/ANPR settings under Hotlist Search Method and can improve performance on lower-spec devices while matching enforcement policy.
Zone Creation and Import Enhancements
Zones can now be activated independently of hotlists, giving admins more flexibility. New optional fields have been added to the Create Zone form, and complete zone lists can now be imported from CSV for faster initial setup and updates.
Zatpark Integration
Phase one of the Zatpark integration is complete across the field system and Trellis. A mapped Site field allows zone-specific context for each read.

Monitoring View with Vehicle Speed
The Monitoring View scan screen tool now includes live vehicle speed alongside location accuracy and GPS status, improving confidence in capture quality during patrols.
Hotlist Sync and Performance
Hotlist imports are faster for both SQLite and CSV files. A file hash check prevents unnecessary re-imports when files have not changed, and a new progress indicator shows import status. The Hotlist and Zones screen has also been optimized with pagination for large lists.
Settings and Menu Updates
Settings menus have been reorganized to make it easier to find capture, monitoring, and privacy options, including clearer grouping of ALPR/ANPR settings, monitoring tools, and data management options.
Camera Manager and Vehicle Mode UI
Camera Manager now includes brand-specific camera logos and a more user-friendly layout. Several labels in Vehicle Mode have been updated for clarity so operators can understand system status at a glance.
System Monitor and Network State
System Monitor logic for network, internet, and GPS status has been improved. Ethernet connections now display as green with a Good status, while WiFi shows as yellow with a Warning status. Status information refreshes on a regular cadence.

Bug fixes to hotlists, zones, native libraries, and recurring edge cases.
Hotlists and Zones
Fixed bugs in the app hotlist database that could impact performance or reliability. Zone import behaviors from Trellis have been corrected so imported zones appear and behave as expected on devices.
Native Library and Plate Reads
Resolved a native library limitation at 16KB that could lead to instability on some devices. Fixed a recurring issue where the same license plate could be read incorrectly under specific conditions.
Profile and UI Stability
Fixed a crash on the Profile screen and addressed various small UI defects across Settings, Hotlists, and Zones.

Native vehicle UI, multi-camera control, and high-volume hotlists.
In-Vehicle Big Screen Interface
Spyglass now includes a native in-vehicle interface designed for larger displays including 8-inch and 12-inch screens. The layout is optimized for mounted use, giving drivers clear access to scans, alerts, and status at a glance.
Vehicle Mode Status Panel
A new status panel in Vehicle Mode shows system status, camera status, and data sync status in one location. Operators can see if cameras are connected and whether hotlists and zones are up to date without leaving the main screen.
Camera Manager
Camera Manager lets users view and manage connected cameras without stopping scanning. Cameras can be toggled on or off and switched between modes from a single place, making multi-camera setups easier to operate and troubleshoot.
IP Camera Discovery
IP cameras on the same network can now be discovered directly from Camera Manager. Users can scan the network and assign found cameras to specific vehicle positions, reducing manual configuration and simplifying setup.
High-Scale Hotlist Engine
On-device hotlists now support lists of up to approximately 7 million plates while still delivering millisecond-level alert response. This enables very large deployments and combined lists without sacrificing performance.

IP Camera Connectivity and Reconnection
Connected camera handling has been improved so that selection, reconnection, and failover are more reliable during long patrols, reducing the chance of losing a feed due to temporary network or power interruptions.
Still Shot and List View Modes
Still Shot mode, which focuses on updating a still image instead of live video, and full-screen List View have been refined for smoother use in vehicles. These modes help operators focus on alert processing when live video is not required.
Metadata and GPS Preferences
Additional metadata such as device speed, shutter speed, ISO, and zoom is now captured to Trellis where supported. GPS source preferences allow admins to choose primary and fallback location providers including NMEA feeds from supported routers.

Diagnostic Monitoring View
A new Diagnostic Monitoring View shows location accuracy, GPS status, and user speed while scanning, helping verify the device is ready for reliable capture.
Smart List Overlay in Scan Screen
The scan screen now includes a Smart List that can be swiped up from the bottom to show reads as they arrive. Users can expand it to review recent reads or focus on alerts without leaving the live camera feed.
Zone and Hotlist Controls from Scan Screen
Operators can now select zones, toggle alerts, and enable or disable multiple hotlists directly from the scan screen. Allow lists and block lists can be active simultaneously, giving more flexible enforcement behavior without navigating to settings.
Trellis Teams and Map View
Trellis now supports multiple teams per organization and introduces a new Map View. Once reads and alerts sync, admins can see activity on the map and organize devices and users along team lines that match their operations.
Manual Read Export
Operators can now export reads directly from the device, either all reads or only alerts. This helps in scenarios where backends are not connected or where a quick ad-hoc export is needed.
Reverse Geo Lookup
Reads now include automatic reverse geo lookup based on GPS coordinates, giving operators and supervisors a human-readable location for every read without manual entry.

Scan Mode Consistency
Portrait and landscape scanning behavior has been aligned so that tools, overlays, and visuals remain consistent when rotating the device during patrols.
Time-Based Alerts
Time-based alerts now support multiple units including minutes, days, and months, allowing more flexible overtime and dwell-time enforcement policies configured directly on the device.
Map View Live Data and Heatmaps
Trellis Map View now includes live data from field users as reads sync in, and heatmap behavior has been improved so alert activity remains visible even when zoomed out.
Device and User Analytics
New device and user analysis views in the portal give admins better insight into who is using Spyglass, how often, and from which devices.

Home, Reads, and Profile Navigation
The home screen has been simplified around three primary buttons: Home, Reads, and Profile. This makes it easier for frontline users to find what they need with less clutter and fewer taps.
Reads, Sessions, and Synced Views
The Reads page now organizes activity into Reads, Sessions, and Synced views so operators can quickly review what has been captured, what belongs to a specific session, and what has already synced to the backend.
Read Detail Enhancements
Users can now add additional pictures to each read and swipe between Read Detail pages without returning to the list. This makes it faster to review multiple vehicles and attach extra context like close-ups or scene photos.
What3Words Integration
Reads now include a What3Words location reference based on GPS coordinates, giving operators and supervisors a human-readable location for every read without manual entry.

The overall UI has been refreshed for better clarity, including a redesigned Profile screen and simplified Read Details layout. Spyglass now supports both dark and light themes.
Portrait and Landscape Scanning

Read List Performance
